Even internet service suffers from the right now syndrome. For years we were content with dialup service. Sure it was slow but it was that or nothing. Heck we hardly noticed that it took hours to download a simple, days to upload a couple of pictures, download a video... that was practically unheard off. We didn't know any better. Now that the world has found out about all the new options for internet service we have to have that. It doesn't matter that it is double the monthly cost or we have to default on are student loans in order to purchase the necessary equipment. I dont think there is somebody in this world who doesnt want to get out and have a vacation. We need time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. We need time to relax and rejuvenate from the stress that we may be experiencing especially from work. Trip to Europe often connotes high airfare. But with a little effort and dedication, you can go in any cities of this continent at a cheap price.

To know how, here are the following tips:

1. Search the Internet. It is the best place to search for cheap air travel to Europe. Try it yourself: do a research on all major and minor airlines traveling from the United States to Europe. Check all their prices. Now search on the Internet. You will be surprised how much difference the plane tickets are.

2. Take connected flights and do not fly direct. Again, this would take a good time of researching and finding the cities that can connect your flight from the United States to any city in Europe.

3. No first class and business seats please. Your aim is to go to Europe in as little amount as possible. These seats could cost twice as much as coach seats. Do not be ashamed if you seat on the tail of the airplane, after all, you will arrive at the same time and the same place.

4. Target off-season. During this time, airfare is low. Europe's airfare is cheapest during winter. But make sure you are prepared for heavy snowfall.

7. And in accordance with number 6, schedule your return also during slow days.

8. Book in advance. Aside from getting your desired seat, you can get low air rates 2-3 weeks before the flight.

9. Get round-trip tickets. It is much cheaper to get return flights than one-way tickets.

10. Do not mind asking for lowest rates. Usually, you can get the lowest air travel rates to Europe if you would only ask. It is just there waiting to be asked.

11. Watch out for lowest fare. Stay at the airport and wait 'til they tell you the flight is in its lowest rate. This might not be appealing but who cares? At least you arrive in Europe the same way they did.

12. Volunteer to get bumped. Inform the airline that it's okay for you to transfer to the next flight. Your time loitering around the airport could mean cash discount coupon you can use on your future flight.

If you are brave enough, try the following:

1. Try wandering around the airport and look for people who decided not to go. Buy their tickets at lowest price. But here's the catch: the ticket should match the name of the passport. Do it if you have a match.

2. Ask if there is any physically challenged person on the flight and ask if they want company. They would be willing shoulder part of your airfare.

These mentioned tips could surely make your way to Europe. And though some may be a little bit off your ways, you have more choices and one would be enough.

The foundation of your Internet strategy is your website. There are websites that are little more than a "web page" and there are websites that feature the entire contents of the Encyclopedia Britannica. There are sites with no functionality at all, and there are super stores like Amazon.com that feature a large degree of interaction. But there a few basics you should remember in having your site designed.

* First, make sure the site is user-friendly. What does that mean? It means that a visitor to the site ought to be able to find what he or she is looking for without too much trouble. If visitors do not know what they're looking for, the site should lead them easily and naturally to what you would like them to see. It should be easy to read with large type and plenty of space around the text and pictures.

* Your site should be graphically attractive. Since your product (legal strategies) is invisible, the package is the product. The "look and feel" of your site should reflect the sophisticated work you do. It should not look like a "do it yourself" job. That means you should probably hire a professional designer.

* Your site should be content-rich. Studies show that nothing nothing is more important than the quality of the content visitors will find on your site. Is your information useful, timely, interesting, well-written? If not, hire a professional copywriter. And don't forget to have plenty of links to related sites (for example, the AARP site might be useful to your visitors, and of course, ElderLawAnswers.com).

* Your site should be frequently updated. Surveys have shown that the Internet is littered with millions of "abandoned" websites created and then never added to nor modified. The information contained in these sites is outdated and useless. Worse yet, the sites are embarrassing. If your site has a section on "Upcoming Events" that happened three years ago, it creates the same impression as having cobwebs on your office doorframes.

* In addition, your site should be constructed to be "search-engine friendly." There will be much more on search engines below, but it is important that the person or firm that builds your site understand how search engines work, and creates a site that, at the very least, avoids search engine "no-no's." As a simple example, search engines will not recognize text that exists within a Flash file. So, that fancy animation that slides the name of your firm across the screen? It's invisible to the search engines, and thus invisible to the potential clients trying to find you. There are many more search engine dos and don'ts, and any competent website firm will know them.

* Finally, your website must contain a call to action. It is not enough that someone visits your site. You want them to take action, and you must invite them to do so. Most sites feature a page entitled "contact us" and that's fine, but it will work even better with an offer, like: Call us and schedule a free consultation; or Call us and register for our upcoming seminar; or Call us and get a free copy of our whitepaper (as you may have done to be reading this).

Paris Hotels: How To Reduce Your Risk Of Being Disappointed

Travel forums are gold mines of information if you care to review the postings of enchanted and disgruntled travelers coming back from abroad.

As Senior Editor of "Paris Eiffel Tower News", I often peruse these forums to find out about the concerns voiced by fellow travelers headed to the 'City of Lights'.

Among the postings which keep coming back, one stands out from the crowd: what does a 3-star rating really mean? Travelers tend to be confused by the many star-rating systems in use. I felt the subject called for an educated explanation.

The meaning of stars in the US

First of all, let's be clear: there is absolutely no relationship whatsoever between the number of stars commercial travel sites award to hotels, and the hotel rating system in use in France.

The core business of commercial travel sites is to sell you hotel rooms, flight tickets, car rentals, and cruise packages. They purport to guide your choice by awarding stars to the products they peddle.

When you book a room on such sites, a significant portion of your money goes to the travel operator which presents the hotel - up to 50% on well-known websites.

For this reason alone, you could reasonably ask yourself: are these ratings unbiased, or tainted by corporate greed?

To make matters more complicated, each travel website uses its own rating method. Consumer Reports published an enlightening article on the topic in its November 2005 issue.

In other words, the number of stars awarded by commercial travel sites is not a fully reliable yardstick for selecting a hotel.

The meaning of stars in France

The French hotel rating system works on a completely different set of rules.

1.It is a standardized system: meaning, all hotels across France are categorized on the same unique basis.

2.The rating system was not born out of mercantile purposes: it was framed by the French lawmakers without any concern for profit.

3.Last but not least, the French hotel rating system does not measure quality. Instead, it uses 22 measurement criteria to assess the presence or absence of certain features in the hotel.

Among the main criteria used:

- Room sizes and numbers
- Room soundproofing
- Heating and air-conditioning
- Design of bathroom facilities
- Phone system
- Electrical equipment
- Elevators

Each requirement varies from one star category to another. (See link to full article below.)

Subjective quality vs. objective quantity

The French rating system does not take into account subjective quality criteria.

And because of this limited approach, it does not guarantee your expectations will be fulfilled.

First, there are keen differences in perception between populations. For example, American travellers are used to larger sizes of rooms and beds than the average room and bed sizes offered in Parisian hotels. This can be a source of disappointment.

Moreover, the French rating system does not measure service quality - cleanliness, absence of smells, staff attitude, speed of service, etc.

It may thus be chancy to base your hotel choice solely on the French rating system.

The safer bet

To afford the best chances to pick the right hotel in Paris I recommend the following 4 steps:

- Have a basic understanding of the French rating criteria
- Check guests' reviews on Travelocity
- Visit the hotel's own website
- Do not hesitate to e-mail your questions to the hotel.

Many travellers use Travelocity to write reviews on the hotels they stayed at. No hotel satisfies 100% of its guests throughout the year, so both extreme judgments and moderate opinions can be found on this open forum. My advice: favor moderate reviews with some flesh on the bones. They will usually give you a useful picture of what to expect from the hotel - good and less good.

Visiting the hotel's website will usually allow you to see multiple views of its rooms and bathrooms. I insist on visiting the hotel's own website since it usually is the place which offers the greatest number of photos.

Lastly, e-mailing your questions to the hotel owners may or may not get you an answer, usually depending on the proficiency of the receptionist in your language. Receiving informative answers to your questions is a good sign that the hotel cares for his prospective guests.

Following these 4 steps should help you minimize the risk of being disappointed during your stay in Paris. This is no guarantee though. Remember that cultures differ from each other, and your expectations of service might not be fully understood. In such case, communicate with the owner. They are usually keen on serving you to the best of their means.

There were eight of us to share the cost so it wasnt too expensive either. A really stylish looking Lear jet took us out on the Friday afternoon for a two- night trip. The icing on the cake was when I asked the guys at V-One to arrange for a car to get us from the VIP terminal at the airport to our hotel and they set up two black Range Rovers to collect us!

When I was surfing the web checking out all the options for the trips, V-One were the only company who looked like they could offer the personal level of service I wanted.
